In this role you will assist in the provision of a low intensity substance abuse intervention program within Queensland Corrective Services. The program aims to reduce recidivism through providing offenders with the knowledge and skills that may allow them to choose a pro-social lifestyle. All activities are undertaken in line with TSA values and mission.


About You:

To be considered for this role, ideally we are looking for:

  • Qualifications within the Alcohol and Other Drugs, Community Services or Social Service sectors or similar discipline.
  • Current Driver’s licence.
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with unpredictable situations and behaviour, violence and problems associated with substance abuse and mental health conditions.
  • Ability to deliver educational programs, lead discussion group work and provide one to one sessions.
  • Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
  • Experience working with offenders
  • Current Driver’s license
