The role:

An exciting opportunity has become available for a motivated individual to join our team as a Club Chaplain. Club Chaplaincy is a new mission opportunity forged through an agreement between The Salvation Army and Clubs NSW. As the Club Chaplain, you will be required to provide emotional, practical and spiritual support to patrons and staff. The Club Chaplain will have the ability to identify and implement initiatives that will facilitate personal and spiritual growth for the club community.

 

Essential requirements:

  • To wear a Salvation Army uniform at all times.
  • Knowledge and skills with assessments
  • Solid level of experience (3 years) in chaplaincy and pastoral care
  • Experience working in collaboration with other organizations to develop and tailor programs to meet client needs
  • Demonstrated experience in providing quality client services.
  • Working with Children Check
  • Mandatory National Police Check
  • Certificate IV in Christian Chaplaincy and Pastoral Care (or equivalent) and commitment to ongoing personal and professional spiritual development.
  • Solid understanding of The Salvation Army’s Doctrines and principles.
  • Current unrestricted drivers licence.

  • Provision of a high quality professional pastoral care service as measured by performance appraisal
  • Feedback by staff and patrons
  • Commitment to personal professional development as demonstrated by participation in appropriate forums and continuing education opportunities
