Brisbane Recovery Services delivers the Bridge Program which aims to provide a safe, drug-free environment to help establish a healthier lifestyle, focus on the problems that underlie addiction, provide a holistic treatment service that will help achieve physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual wellbeing via medical treatment, one-to-one and group and pastoral support, impart living skills to not only overcome addiction but to lead a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

The Manager is responsible for managing all operations of Brisbane Recovery Services in line with the policies, procedures, mission and values of the Salvation Army and aligned to our Alcohol and Other Drugs model frameworks.

Role Requirements:

  • An appreciation of and the ability and willingness to promote and support the values and ethos of The Salvation Army.
  • Degree qualification in social work, welfare, community development or related field and extensive management experience.
  • Degree qualification in business or equivalent business management experience.
  • Project development and implementation experience in social and community services programs including AOD.
  • Ability to support staff and services undergoing change.
  • Experience in active membership in community or sector bodies within the AOD sector.
  • Fosters a culture of excellence in service delivery
  • Defines and clearly communicates roles and responsibilities to empower team to achieve outcomes
  • A national police record check is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
