James Barker House is a purpose built aged care facility in Footscray that has the capacity to house 120 socially and financially disadvantaged persons, many of whom have long histories of homelessness.

 

About the Role 

We seek an experienced and enthusiastic Quality Coordinator to join our friendly team at James Barker House.  You will be a Registered Nurse, ideally with a minimum of 3 years experience in residential aged care. This position is responsible for coordinating our quality systems, orientation and induction of staff, and staff training/education. Candidates must be able to demonstrate significant experience in a quality coordination role and have sound knowledge of the new Quality Standards and Indicators. Working within the mission values of The Salvation Army, you will be committed to the provision of innovative, flexible, responsive services within a strong quality framework.

While this position will be initially based at James Barker House in Melbourne, there may be an opportunity to utilise your skills supporting other Salvation Army Aged Care homes in the future.  Please confirm your willingness and availability to travel to other Centres as required, in your covering letter.

Remuneration in accordance with the provisions of the Nurses Award and current EBA.
