Over the past year The Salvation Army (TSA) has been working towards joining the two existing Eastern and Southern territories into one unified organisation under the leadership of a National Commander.  This will deliver a single Australia territory with an aligned vision, united voice, stronger partnerships, better stewardship, and the ability to make an even greater impact on the many people who depend on our services. 

We are seeking to engage a HR Services Team Leader south to lead the development and ongoing management of HR contract administration systems and processes required by the National HR Services function to provide HR contract administration services. The Team leader will play an active role in the deployment of the new Workday HCM by leading own team members in the utilisation of the HCM delivery to the organisation.

The HR Services Team Leader South will work closely with the HR Services Team Leader North and will report to the GM HR Services.

The role will be responsible for the following:

  • Contributing to the development of a plan to transition to a centralised HR Services team.
  • Reviewing current HR contract administration systems and processes being used across TSA and leverage existing good practice systems and processes where possible. 
  • Leading the sourcing, development and implementation of nationally consistent HR contract administration systems and processes to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of nationally consistent HR contract administration services.
  • Overseeing the day-to-day HR contract administration by HR Advisors to ensure effective and efficient customer service.
  • Producing HR reports and monthly dashboard that supports and provides insight to drive decisions and actions.
  • Deployment of the Workday HCM to the HR Services team and delivery to the end user.

Skills and Experience: For this role you will have at least 5 years’ experience in HR Contract administration roles, and experience in managing and leading a small team in a period of change.   Knowledge of Workday system or an equivalent HCM would be a significant advantage.

Analytical Skills: Experience generating reports and managing Workday system.
